The doctor is the director of science and technology for the Great Oceanic Plug. Dr. Dometone is responsible for not only the proper function of the facility but the safety of its residents. The doctor also has a fondness for the facility's mechanical yet sentient guardians Hercules, which he calls Herky, and Samson.
