One of the three Thunderian survivors anointed to the rank of ThunderCat, Bengali is the youngest of the group, and is thus slightly more hot-headed and combative than his two comrades Lynx-O and Pumyra. Bengali is the younger brother of Tygra, and although he lacks some of his brother's knowledge and wisdom, as a fighter he is the equal of his elder sibling, possessed of a strong heart, courage and seemingly endless resourcefulness.

Thundercats Ho!

Bengali, Lynx-O and Pumyra and tried to board the Thundercats flagship as it left the dying planet of Thundera, but they were too late, an earthquake beginning meant that the ship had to leave immediately. Fortunately they were rescued by a nearby Berbil ship, the ship was damaged and crashed on Third Earth, on a desserted island where the Thunderians and Berbils made their new home. When Mumm-Ra discovered there were other Thunderians on Third Earth, he sent the Berzerkers to capture them, The Thunderians fought hard against them, but were ultimately captured. After being taken to fire rock Mountain, the Thunderians made a plan to escape, Bengali used his mind powers to create a distraction, and they managed to get away.

Bengali was later made an honourary Thundercat by Lion-O at the Cats Lair.


Mumm-Ra Lives

With Pumyra, Bengali scouted the land around Dark Zone and spotted the Mutants planning something, reporting it back at Cats Lair. Bengali assissted in the construction of the tower of Omens, of which he would become a key operator. When the Thundercats went to face the Lunataks at Sky Tomb, Bengali stayed behind to guard the tower against other attacks. Bengali was instrumental in repairing the sword of omens after it had been broken apart by Red Eye, using his blacksmiths skill to reforge the sword.
