Jaga

Entrusted as Lion-O's guardian and respected by the whole of Thundera, Jaga spent much of his life as the primary aid of Claudus, the last Lord of the ThunderCats prior to Thundera's destruction. Wielding the mystic Sword of Omens, Jaga proved to be a nemesis to the forces of evil, both those within Thunderian ranks and (more commonly) the evil Mutants of the planet Plun-Darr. Calming and gentle, yet able to assume authoritative command of a situation at a moment's notice, Jaga possessed great leadership quality. Revered as their elder by all of the ThunderCat nobles up to his transcending to the Astral World, Jaga's wisdom lives on as the spiritual advisor to Claudus' son Lion-O, the hereditary Lord of the ThunderCats.




Exodus

Jaga led the Thundercat Nobles away from their dying planet of Thundera, he ordered that Lion-O be brought to the bridge, as the Lord of the Thundercats, he must learn to take the good with the bad. Jaga explained to Lion-O the power of the eye of Thundera and the Sword of Omens, and gave the Thundercats new clothing and weapons for when they reached their new home. When the Mutants attacked the flagship, Jaga along with the others, drove them back. Jaga realised that the Thundercats would not suvive the journey to their new home, and decided they should enter suspension capsules while he safely piloted the ship to their new planet. Jaga bid farewell to his friends and began the journey, before reaching Third Earth he died at the controls of the ship, just in time to switch over to autopilot.

Jaga appeared before Lion-O and told him he would always be with him.


The Unholy Alliance

Jaga warned Lion-O not to harm the creatures in the forest, and that the sword of omens would never harm an innocent creature.


Berbils

Jaga showed Lion-O how to summon the Sword of Omens to him.


Pumm-Ra

Jaga warned Mumm-Ra that any evil force that tried to use the Eye of Thundera would know the wrath of Jaga.


The Ghost Warrior

Jaga had once battled the warrior Thundercat, Grune the Destroyer, Grune had once been Jagas friend, until greed and power corrupted him. He was eventually defeated by Jaga and imprisoned, but he eventually broke free from his prison on Third Earth, how a ghost, like Jaga himself. Jaga and Grune battled once more, but Jaga had to contend with Grunes Thundrillium club, Jaga was eventually given the strength of Lion-O and the Eye of Thunder and overcame and defeated Grune once again.


The Time Capsule

Jaga told a homesick Lion-O of a time capsule which contained the records of Thundera right up until its destruction.


The Astral Prison

Jaga became a prisoner in the Astral Plain due to Mumm-Ra, Jaga refused to share any of his knowledge with his captor, Nemex. Lion-O was able to use his power of second sight to find out Jaga had been taken, and followed into the Astral Plain, he too becoming trapped. After being reunited with Lion-O, Jaga and the young Thundercat came across the ancient wizard imprisoned in the Astral Prison, Brodo, who called upon the ancient spirits of good to set the both free. Jaga appeared to Lion-O that night, and the two commented how they were now even.


Lion-O's Annointment Trials: Trial of Evil

Jaga warned Lion-O against facing Mumm-Ra, suggesting he get some rest and wait until morning, but Lion-O wanted to do the trial his own way. When Lion-O finally defeated Mumm-Ra, Jaga appeared before him, telling Lion-O he was proud of the boy, and that he had truly earned his respect and the title of Lord of the Thundercats.


Sword in the Hole

After Lion-O had lost the sword of Omens, Jaga told him that the sword would come to its master if it was called, allowing Lion-O and the others to escape from Captain Shiner.


Thundercats Ho!

Jaga told Lion-O of the suriviving Thunderians on Third Earth who had escaped Thundera. Mumm-Ra sent Grune the Destroyer after Jaga, and Jaga fought his old enemy once more, defeating him before continuing on. Jaga attempted to warn Mumm-Ra against using the star of Thundera, but Mumm-Ra ignored him, and was subsequently destroyed by the stars power.


Thundercubs

Jaga revealed that in his youth he had once fought the evil Mutant Warrior, Ratilla, he ultimately defeated Ratilla, who used the mighty sword of Plundarr against him. After the battle, Jaga buried the sword deep undergound, where it remained until Mumm-Ra managed to recover it.


The Totem of Dara

Jaga appeared to Snarferm and told him he must go to the Totem of Dara to heal Lion-O.


The Chain of Loyalty

Jaga told Lion-O the history of the Chain of Loyalty, and that if it were to to be broken, it would cause the Thundercats to turn against one another.


The Last Day

Along with the other Thundercats, Jaga was cast into Limbo by the empowered Mumm-Ra, eventualy managing to escape to defeat him with the others.
