Talk about making a bad choice on a toy to posses. Should have picked one with better articulation lol. ;)

That was underwhelming. It'd have been nice to see at least a couple fight moves. I understand budget constraints, though.

The show itself, I'd never watched it and definitely it isn't for me, but while initially they leaned into BBT level of lazy nerd tropes, they at least tried to walk it back with one of the protagonists and one of the nerds bonding being horror bros.

I've only ever seen one episode of the show and that was the Scooby Doo crossover episode.

I am a big fan of Supernatural. Have been watching since the first season. In the early seasons of Supernatural, the Thundercats episode "Exodus" can be seen playing on the TV in the background during flashback scenes of the 2 main characters as children.
    - Supernatural Season 1 episode 18 - "Something Wicked"
    - Supernatural Season 2 episode 20 - "What is and what should never be"

And now this Mezco Panthro part of the episode.
    - Supernatural Season 14 episode 4 - "Mint Condition".

To my knowledge, they have not referenced or have a reference to any other cartoon or show more than Thundercats. So, my guess is someone either on the production side of the show or one of the main cast is/was a Thundercats fan. Maybe not but that's my thinking on it. I have been trying to figure out who it is. One day, I may even go to a Supernatural Convention just so I can ask during a Q and A to found out.
