The issue of the Sword of Omens (SoO) being overly omnipotent in the cartoon has often been raised in many threads. So I thought it might be a good idea to list all of the things that the SoO has done throughout the series. :)

I'll start the ball rolling. Please feel free to add more but add a number before them so that it is easier to keep count of the total. Also if you remember the episode where a particular power was displayed, you can mention it as well, but it is not compulsory.

    1. Summon the ThunderCats
    2. Shoot energy beams
    3. Sight Beyond Sight
    4. Warn Lion-O of danger to himself and the other TCats
    5. Come to Lion-O when called
    6. Turn into a pole vaulters pole ("Tower of Traps")
    7. Form a temporary bridge ("Doom-Gaze")
    8. Banish someone ("Shadowmaster")
    9. Fight on its own ("Excalibur")
    10. Cause rain ("Helpless Laughter")

    15. Reverse physical alterations, meaning bringing the TCs bac to normal from whatever alteration they had suffered ("Return of the ThunderCubs", "Out of Sight")
    16. Turn stone into flesh ("Mossland Monster")
    17. Give the TCs the strenght needed to get free (in many episodes the TCs were fighting a batlle, sometimes even losing it, and as soon as Lion-O summons them, they seem to get brains or strenght necessary to get out of trouble)

I edited my post to include "The Slaves of Castle Plun-Darr," where the Sword of Omens made a force field to push back the warp gas-induced Brutemen.
