I don't mean musical themes I mean species related inspirations. Now I know the "themes" for the warrior women and Mumm-Ra (Egyptian and Amazon respectively) but what about the other species? Like the Thunde4rcats and the mutants and other groups in the series? What types of historical groups are they all based on?

Well I can recall the following:

King Arthur, Merlin, Guinevere etc - Old English
    Wizz-Ra and Maftet - Egyptian
    Hachiman and Ninja - Japanese
    Berserkers - Norse Vikings
    Charr-Nin - Indian (?)
    Feerits - Aboriginals (Polynesian/South American)
Queen Tartara and her Guards - Russian
    Boatman - Greek

I don't think they were based on any particular country/religion/culture/mythology. They were pretty much humanoids with a few cat-like features who liked to wear tight clothes. ;)

I think the word "analogues" would be better suited to the question than "themes".

I can't think of any that Wily hasn't listed, but maybe the analogues could be more specific. For example:

King Arthur, Merlin, Guinevere etc: Arthurian legend (Medieval)
Hachiman and Ninja - Feudal Japan

I honestly couldn't think of the right word and now it's too late for me to change it.

I think Charr-Nin might be Arabian rather than Indian ;)
