Will the UK be getting the thundercats classics line?

So far I've only seen them on 2 Uk websites- Bobbleheads being one of them, which are sold out. Then one other, with preorders for a Dec shipment. I doubt they'll make it to the stores- maybe some specialist ones. Either way I reckon we'll pay through the nose for them.

For any UK buyers shipping in from USA- if your figure is faulty, Bandai couldn't give two whoops about it. I've been stung for £70 with a SDCC Lion-O that won't stand up, and Bandai say 'Yeah...and?'

I like the look of the Classic's line, but after the dreadful customer service- I've decided I'm joining the club of:

    DON'T BUY BANDAI PRODUCTS!!

*or if you do- proceed with caution. I'm not bitter, honest.

That's a real bummer about the Bandai stuff, but really one of the things you should know going into importing something from a different region. There's a reason companies have different HQs for different areas of the world.

For your Lion-O, have you tried any of this stuff: http://www.ehow.co.uk/how_7704876_fix-loose-joints-action-figures.html ?

Bobble Heads is a UK based store similar to BBTS ;) No links to ThunderCats items though please. I think if folks are interested they can easily find the site with a google search ;)

As for the SDCC Lion-O, unfortunately that is not a product sold to the UK and buying via resellers is the risk you take. I believe all toy companies would take the same stance and not just Bandai, when trying to return an item that was not intended for sale outside of North America.

This is also the reason why I'd advise fans thinking of importing the toys to either wait for a release in your own territory or make sure you buy from a reputable store who will accept back any faulty items. Once product enters the UK, or where ever you are, the warranty on it from Bandai America becomes null and void since the item (s) were not meant for the overseas market. This would apply to all toy companies who produce product solely intended for North America.

Just spoke to bubbleheads and they have a stock lot arriving on weds and I've ordered a thundertank.

You can get the pre order ones which say add to basket-not the other ones-most have gone now but they still have the 6 inch And few 4 inch figures left!

Free delivery so a great way to buy them
    Without paying stupid eBay prices

They said that is best to pre order as most have all ready sold out!

Apologies for the link, I didn't realise. And thanks for the fix it site, nice stuff.

It's a shame companies act in such ways. If I made a product that a customer went to the effort to import and it proved faulty due to quality control on my part- I would want to uphold a good reputation for selling products that work and offer more than a 3 line email.

I found the SDCC Lion-O to be disappointing in many ways. It looked nothing like the promo pictures. The wash and painted muscle lines look dreadful- like a 3 year old has been left unattended and taken a sharpie to it, after scuffing it around the floor in the dirt. Poor packaging that doesn't allow collectors to display unopened, and the sword stand that looks nothing like the one in episode 1, and more like a cheap Barbie accessory from the 80's.

  9. Hmm, im going to wait and see if the toy stores get them over here. Im not paying those ridiculous prices on eBay, its plastic im buying not gold.

They will get them for sure :)

I agree about it being crappy that we can't readily buy the exclusives though, but unfortunately it's been that way for years. Maybe if the UK sales are good enough, we might get an Argos exclusive or something? :)

Glad you mentioned Argos as I was hoping tcats would be in this new catalogue but no joy.

They do exclusives for wwe but even when I email bandai.co.uk for any updates on release dates they never get back to me-poor customer service I'd say.

At least uk websites seem to be getting the toys soon

You are wrong here. While not based on the initial version, the stand is quite accurate to the one found inside the Cats' Lair.

Well it may be accurate to that, but it still looks like a cheap Barbie accessory.
