That LEGO ThunderTank Is BOSS. Let’s Get It to 10,000 Supporters.
There is a fan-built LEGO ThunderCats project sitting on LEGO Ideas right now with 7,597 supporters and 78 days left to push it past the 10,000 mark. If it gets there, LEGO officially reviews it for production as a real set. The centerpiece is an absolutely boss ThunderTank build that needs to exist on collectors’ shelves.

The Build
1,361 pieces. Lion-O, Panthro, Cheetara, Tygra, WilyKit, WilyKat, and Snarf as minifigs. ThunderTank front and center. The official photos place the team and the tank in front of a Third Earth backdrop, but the set itself is the vehicle plus the seven characters. That is the entire roster you need.
The ThunderTank Is the Star
This is the build that carries the project, and it earns the spotlight. It seats up to six passengers, has sliding roof doors for easy access, hidden weapons under the claws and the nose, and a manned super cannon up top. The proportions are right. The track-and-claw stance is right. Look at the front three-quarter shot and you immediately read the show vehicle. That is hard to do in LEGO at this scale, and creator MOCturnal nailed it.
Why 10,000 Matters
LEGO Ideas is the platform where fans submit project concepts and the community votes. Hit 10,000 supporters and LEGO’s review board officially evaluates the project for production as a real set in their catalog. This particular submission has already been named a Staff Pick, which is LEGO’s internal endorsement that the build has merit. Staff Pick plus 10K is the path to becoming a real product.
The math: about 2,400 more supporters in the next 78 days. Roughly 31 votes per day. Doable if the fandom shows up.
The Creator
