What’s in the prize set
The Super7 ULTIMATES Thundertank with Panthro (Toy Edition) is the vintage 1985 toy-accurate color scheme version of Super7’s 27 by 17 inch ULTIMATES Thundertank, paired with a brand-new Panthro figure. This Panthro is the first sculpt in the line with pin-less knees and elbows, the most poseable Panthro Super7 has shipped.
- 27 by 17 inch Thundertank with opening cargo bay doors, articulated jaw, rolling wheels, hidden cannons under the claws and a forehead-panel cannon
- A brand-new Panthro figure with his signature nunchucks
- Two alternate Panthro head sculpts (open mouth, closed mouth)
- Four pairs of interchangeable hands (fists, gripping, open, martial arts)
- Vintage 1985 LJN toy-inspired color scheme on the tank
Panthro built it. Panthro drives it.
In the original 1985 series, the Thundertank is Panthro’s signature engineering project. He builds it. He maintains it. He drives it more than anyone else on the team. As Cheetara puts it in the cartoon: “Is there anything this kitty-car can’t do?”
The Thundertank’s debut appearance is Berbils, Season 1 Episode 3, originally aired September 11, 1985. After the ThunderCats settle on Third Earth, the Ro-Bear Berbils help Panthro complete the build in their workshop. From that episode forward, the Thundertank appears in roughly half the run of the original 130 episodes, including most of the major Mumm-Ra confrontations.
