This is a very unique and exciting piece of artwork, one of several such pieces that we have showcased in this gallery. Drawn by Ed McGuinness, the main penciller on DC/Wildstorm’s first ThunderCats mini-series, this piece is believed to have been commissioned by Cartoon Network as concept art for a proposed (but ultimately abandoned) new ThunderCats cartoon series! This is one of a pair of pages we have displayed that showcase the experimental concept of Tygra as a ninja! It’s not known whether this idea originated from Cartoon Network or Ed McGuinness himself. |
