    It's official:

    To Our Loyal Collectors,

Thank you for being the world’s most dedicated fans and passionate supporters of over the years.

We want to let you know that we have been working on something new and different for you that measures up to your loyalty and devotion.

As of December 31, 2016, we will be shutting down the website as we transition to Super7 to manufacture and deliver the Masters of the Universe and adult collector lines. Subscriptions and orders for 2016 will remain unaffected, and the site will continue to operate through the end of the year. For the past two years, Super7 has proven to be a great partner, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow the Masters of the Universe line. They will unveil the expanded line for 2017 at San Diego Comic-Con.

To help you complete your collections before the end of the year, we’ll be opening the Vault beginning Thursday, July 21 at 9 a.m. PT. All 2014 and 2015 items, and select 2016 items, will be available for sale at that time. They’ll remain in the shop until the end of the year or while supplies last, whichever comes first. For our U.S.-based collectors, any Vault products you buy during San Diego Comic-Con will arrive with free domestic ground shipping.*

We thank you for your dedication and support through the years.

*Free domestic ground shipping offer on all Vault products ends 7/24/16 at 11:59pm PT. Not valid on previous purchases. May not be combined with any other offer or discount. The discount appears in your cart when you add your first qualifying item to your cart. Applies to standard shipping only, and excludes rush orders and additional shipping charges for international addresses.

I just saw this as well. I am very interested to hear news/opinions on what this means for the Thundercats line. I have waited so long for another proper toyline to represent the 80s property. Will it continue? If it does will Super7 have different a different scale/molds and start over again?

I would think that things will remain as is when it comes to scale/molds as in im sure Mattel/4H are still involved their just going to leave the production/distribution up to Super 7. One perk that might come with that tho is no more having to deal with the ineptitude of Digital River.

So no news about ThunderCats. Hopefully this transition will not affect the subscription in any major way.

" A Special Message for Matty Fans, From Our Partners at Super7

    Hello Matty Collectors!
This is Brian Flynn, owner of Super7, and I just wanted to say how excited we are to expand our relationship with Mattel and Masters of the Universe this year and beyond! We’re looking forward to creating a wonderful array of exciting and unexpected Masters of the Universe products in the years to come.
As some of you may know, we’ve been working with Mattel for a few years now, creating both the retro 3.75” MOTU figures, the M.U.S.C.L.E. MOTU figures, and last year’s SDCC 2015 Skeletor’s Lair special event. Since then, we’ve announced wave 2 of the 3.75” figures, and wave 2 of the M.U.S.C.L.E. figures, which will debut at SDCC 2016.
Speaking of SDCC 2016, our biggest announcement was that while all this was going on, we’ve been working secretly on the first new Masters of the Universe animation in the classic style since 1985 – “The Curse of the Three Terrors”! In trying to be as authentic to the original series as possible, this new animation features original voice actor Alan Oppenheimer reprising his signature role as Skeletor (as well as Mer-Man and Man At Arms) on a new adventure in Eternia. Additionally, we worked with The Power and Honor Foundation to use original backgrounds from the 1984-1985 series, so this new animation is as accurate as possible. We will premiere the “The Curse of the Three Terrors” at 10pm on Wednesday July 20th, at the corner of 8th Ave. and G in downtown San Diego, directly across the street from this year’s Skeletor’s Lair pop-up shop! Afterwards, “The Curse of the Three Terrors” will be available August 1st for download on iTunes and Google Play for $1.99.

As for new and exciting products, I wonder what other secrets we might have up our sleeves for all of you…?

As in the current sub? No it shouldn't have any effect considering Matty isn't closing its doors till the end of the year. And i'm sure ThunderCats is under the umbrella of "Adult Collector" lines.

It's speculation, but there have been no news from either side of Thundercats transitioning. Both sides have been tight lipped. I don't have a good feeling about this.

Not sure what to think yet.....been waiting for a TC line.....was thrilled that Mattel was taking over...because of how far the carried the MOTU that all collector lines have been passed on to not even sure what that means....if the do continue TC...are they gonna look the same as the mattel tc....all new sculpts....packaging......guess ill have to wait n see....i would hate to get the 2016 mattel tc...and then have super seven continue the line with figures that look different...

I'm assuming that things won't change too much, based on what info we have. Super7 is taking over manufacturing and distribution, does that include design? If not, we still have the Horseman, I have to assume. It's also said that this is not MOTU specific, but ALL collector lines, which would include Cats. So hopefully Super7 doesn't shit the bed here and ruin all of this, that'd be one hell of a way to start this off.

    From Matty forums:

"As noted in the announcement, subscriptions (and monthly sub figure sales) will continue through the end of the year. Decision on the future of Matty forums has not been made as yet. There has been no announcement of continuation of ThunderCats in 2017 at this time.

Thank you all for being part of this community."

Probably won't change anything for the 2016 figures, but I am now worried about the line continuing in 2017. Super7's main focus is on MOTU, so if they are acquiring ThunderCats I hope the line for TCats doesn't take a backseat.

Oh that doesn't sound good at all...

Guess now we just wait to see/hear what Super 7 has to unveil/say.

Things aren't looking all that good...guess we just have to wait n see.....I suppose voicing to super7 that to fans want this line to continue would b a good start....damn...this sucks....

I really wouldn't worry guys. We'll be getting a 2017 line I'm sure about it. I think that it might only be announced later in the year perhaps, and also be a 6-sub figure similar to this one we have now starting mid 2017. I think since they have to take over everything they might reshuffle releases etc. Don't give up yet.

Im not very optimistic either. I hope I am wrong. There is no news and because its a new line one would think that they will give news about it. The lack of news is concerning. Also not sure if they will do the sub model. I may be wrong. I am getting impatient with waiting on news. We'll probably know by the end of the week. I saw on he man that people are also talking about the prices. I just hope if the line continues that it wont go up too much.

Agreed, lets hope it doesn't go up too much so we overseas lot can afford it. I really wouldn't be interested in a TC line that looks like their other toylines. The figures look like vintage Dino-Riders figures which worked for that but I will not like TC looking like that.

Strange that the MOTU silhouette on Super 7's website is shaped like the vintage toys and not the MOTUC figures. I am suspecting they may start doing vintage style MOTU figures.
Some how I doubt Super 7 will be doing anything with Thundercats.

Im not interested in anything or the style of figures they offer at the moment. I think the biggest issue is the price. This may be it for me. Not too sure if i would collect the vintage style. I love the club grayskull look. I was hoping to get the main cast of this line. The wait on news is painful. Im just disappointed that if the line end we will have an incomplete line.

If only they released tygra and cheetara i would have been happy. I just hope that mezco continue their line but what are the chances. Having one figure everey 3 years isnt fun either.

I'm not sure Super7 would want to fund Thundercats. They had a problem selling the TC exclusives as is. Also remember that the burden of getting the lines funded falls on them.
