Making its debut at the end of 1985, and running until 1988, with a total of 24 issues published, Marvel’s ThunderCats series was one of the most successful (and, arguably, highest-quality) comic series by Marvel’s subsidary brand of Star Comics. Star Comics was basically a collection of titles aimed at younger readers than their regular comic books, and as such featured many comic titles that were tied-in to TV series. ThunderCats boasted some of Marvel’s finest talents, including writers David Micheline, Gerry Conway and Tom DeFalco, and veteran artists Jim Mooney and Jose Delbo amongst many others, and it was this calibre of staff that made Marvel’s ThunderCats such a special take on the property.Click on the thumbnails below to take you to a page showcasing each comic from this series.
