About ThunderCats.org

ThunderCats.org is the online home for fans of the 1985 cartoon, the LJN toyline, the comics, and everything the ThunderCats property has become in the 40-plus years since Lion-O first drew the Sword of Omens.

How we got here

The site started life in 2005 as ThunderCatsLair.org, born on the forums of he-man.org when Warner Bros. released Season 1 Part 1 on DVD and reawakened a generation of fans. A small team pooled their skills to build something bigger than any single fan page: Manny (site director), Blackiecats (Neil), MannysCollectibles, He-Fan (Chris), Grizzlor (Mark), Wacky Martin, kzlambert (Kyle), and artist Celesta Johnston, with later contributions from Matt, Purrsia, Andrew McCabe, Kreg, Jon Sherwood, David Lima, and Tim "Voice Guy."

The forums opened on August 20th, 2005. The site launched proper on December 10th that year. In the years since, it has moved to thundercats.org and grown to cover every incarnation of the property — the original cartoon, the 2011 reboot, ThunderCats Roar, Super7 and Mattel’s toy revivals, the comics, and whatever comes next.
