J2-industries is best known for the Dragon Ball Z Multiverse shorts and a Death of ICON fan film that between them have pulled more than four million views. On 30 July they pointed the same camera at Third Earth, and the result is the most convincing live action ThunderCats footage anybody has put on the internet.
They are careful about what it is. This is previs, not a film. The stated goal was to find out whether the ThunderCats hold up in a grounded photoreal world: speedster physics for Cheetara, weapon choreography for the Sword of Omens, character consistency shot to shot, the transformation effects, the colour grade.
