Mandora and the Pirates

Written by William Overgard.

Notes of Interest

  1. This episode marks the second appearance of Mandora the Evil Chaser, and like her first it is penned by writer William Overgard. Overgard would in fact write the majority of the episodes that featured Mandora.
  2. This episode introduces us to the unstable robotic pirate Captain Cracker. Cracker would return in “Exile Isle” and “Cracker’s Revenge”, both of which were also penned by William Overgard.
  3. In this episode, we get a brief look at two more members of the Interplanetary Control Force, revealing that Mandora’s helmet is not unique to her but would appear to be standard issue to ICF officers.
  4. The character of Quick-Pic returns in this episode, this time as a reformed character.
  5. William Overgard appears to have enjoyed writing for pirate characters, having also contributed two scripts to Peter Lawrence’s 1990s animated series Peter Pan and the Pirates!

Contribute a Script

We do not yet have a production script for “Mandora and the Pirates”. If you have one, please consider contributing it to the archive.

What we are looking for: production scripts only. Writer’s drafts, shooting drafts, and studio copies of the actual script for this episode. We strongly prefer scans of the original printed pages over retyped text, since scans preserve the layout, scene headings, director notes, and any handwritten annotations that make the document interesting and verifiable.

What we are not looking for: fan-written transcripts of the broadcast dialogue, episode summaries, or AI-generated reconstructions.
