Fan concept · not an announced game

Would you play this?

Somebody built mockups for a SilverHawks game. Four players, cel painted sprites, hand painted backgrounds, boss fights. No studio is making it, nobody has licensed it and there is nothing to buy. We want to know how many of us would play it if it existed.

Takes a minute. No cost, no commitment beyond an email you can walk away from.

What it would be

The pitch is a four player side scrolling brawler in the shape the SilverHawks always deserved: a squad game where the whole team is on screen at once and the fight moves between the ground and the air. Here is what the mockups show.

  • Cel painted, hand drawn sprites rather than filtered pixel art.
  • Hand painted backgrounds, one per world.
  • Four player co-op across a mix of air and land battles.
  • Named boss fights with their own health bars.

Buzz-Saw on the moon surface, with all four Hawks live on the HUD and the Miraj parked in the background. Note the boss bar along the bottom, the grammar every good arcade brawler runs on.

The second still swaps the whole palette for a red world and a different boss, which is the part that suggests somebody thought past a single picture. A concept piece shows you one screen. This one shows a rule: new world, new painted backdrop, new named heavy at the end of it.

Where this actually stands

We would rather be blunt than let anyone get their hopes up on a technicality. As of 11 August 2026:

There has never been a SilverHawks video game, on any platform, since the show premiered in September 1986. That is forty years of nothing. These mockups are the closest thing to one that exists, and they are pictures.

So this page is not a campaign and not a pre-order. It is a count. If it turns out that thousands of people want this, that is a number worth putting in front of the people who could greenlight it, and a number is a great deal harder to wave away than a good feeling in a comments section.

Count me in

If a prototype is ever built, a beta tester is not somebody who gets a free game early. It is somebody who plays the same level nine times and writes down what felt wrong. That is the job. Here is the whole of it:

  • Play early builds that will be rough, unbalanced and sometimes broken.
  • Send back short honest notes. What was fun, what was not, where you got stuck.
  • Keep builds and footage private until you are told otherwise.
  • Answer an email every few weeks. That is the commitment.

We store your email, the platform you picked and the time you signed up, and nothing else. This is a prototype-test list, not a mailing list, and it will not be sold, rented or handed to anyone. If the project never happens we will write once to tell you so, and that will be the end of it.

The SilverHawks you can actually buy

No game, but Super7 has spent years building out the toy line the show never properly got. Prices and stock read from Big Bad Toy Store on 11 August 2026.

The fine print, in plain words. This is an unofficial fan page. SilverHawks is a trademark of its respective rights holders and thundercats.org is not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by any of them. No game has been announced by anyone. No money is being raised, taken or promised. Signing up puts your name on a list of people willing to test a prototype if one is ever built, and nothing more than that. The concept art on this page was created by a third party and circulated publicly in August 2026; if you made it, write to mark@thundercats.org and we will credit you properly or take it down, your call.
