About This Figure
Mezco kicked off the Mega Scale ThunderCats line in 2011 with this 14-inch Lion-O. Seven points of articulation, a removable Sword of Omens, and Mezco's signature collector-friendly window box. The figure has been re-released across multiple variants (SDCC 2011 light-up "Sight Beyond Sight," 2016 Lion-O & Snarf 2-pack, 2017 Summer Exclusive, 2017 Deluxe), making it the most prolific Mezco ThunderCats sculpt.
Mezco kicked off the Mega Scale ThunderCats line in 2011 with this 14-inch Lion-O. The figure measures over 20 inches tall from the soles of his Thunderian boots to the tip of his upraised Sword of Omens.
Seven points of articulation, a removable Sword of Omens, and an oversized Claw Shield. Sculpted by Jean St. Jean, with paint deco staying close to the 1985 Rankin/Bass television palette. The collector-friendly window box matches the rest of the line so the figures display together in scale.
Lion-O has been re-released across more variants than any other Mezco ThunderCats figure. The 2011 SDCC “Sight Beyond Sight” exclusive added an interchangeable open-mouth roar head with glow-in-the-dark eyes, an alternate short Sword of Omens, and a left-hand Claw Shield. The 2016 Lion-O & Snarf 2-pack reissued the standard sculpt with a 5-inch non-articulated Snarf companion. The 2017 Summer Exclusive went further still with light-up battery-powered eyes (LR44 cells included). The 2017 Deluxe Edition packaged interchangeable head sculpts and the full accessory complement together as a Mezco-direct exclusive.
Out of print since 2017. Secondary-market loose copies surface regularly at $80-$140; sealed window-box examples and the 2011 SDCC variant trend higher.
