About This Figure

Gordy International item No. 584, copyright 1985, Yonkers, New York. Chalk box reads 3 sticks, non-toxic. The card photographed here carries a Marsh General Merchandise sticker at 1.59.

A school slate, in a brown plastic frame, with Lion-O drawn on the face in white line and left there permanently, so a child chalks around him rather than over a blank board. Item No. 584 packs it with a yellow sponge and a box of three non-toxic chalk sticks, the box itself carrying a full colour Lion-O and the logo.

A bubble gun is a toy that happens to be branded; a slate is homework equipment with Lion-O printed on it permanently. This one still wears its shop sticker at a dollar fifty-nine. A larger ThunderCats chalk board sits in the merchandise archive with its maker unrecorded, blue framed and printed with Lion-O and Mumm-Ra rather than a single line drawing, so the two are not the same product.
