The Mutants' one-seat attack flyer, and the only thing in the Plun-Darrian motor pool that can keep up with a ThunderCat. A flat black wedge with a bladed wing and an open cockpit, the Skycutter is what [Slithe](/encyclopedia/characters/slythe/)'s people send up when the [Thundertank](/encyclopedia/vehicles/thundertank/) is already on the ground, and it is stolen out from under them often enough that it is arguably a ThunderCat vehicle too.
The Skycutter is the Mutants’ single-seat attack flyer, and the only vehicle Plun-Darr fields that the ThunderCats treat as a genuine threat in the air.
It appears in nine episodes of the 1985 series and is named out loud in five of them, with the spelling wandering between Skycutter, SkyCutter and sky-Cutter on the subtitle track. LJN made it as assortment 3530 in 1985, Glasslite reissued the tooling in Brazil as the Nave Navalha, and Super7 produced the first in-scale version as a Wave 13 ULTIMATES! vehicle in 2024.
