Eight Waves Deep and You Can Still Get In at the Ground Floor

Here is the thing about SilverHawks ULTIMATES! that does not get said enough: Super7 is not dabbling.
Most licences of this vintage get one wave, maybe two, then quietly stop. SilverHawks is eight waves and 36 releases deep. Wave 1 gave us Quicksilver, Steelheart, Armored MonStar and Buzz-Saw, the obvious four. Then the line kept going. Bluegrass, Steelwill, Windhammer. Commander Stargazer, Hotwing, Mumbo Jumbo, Mo-Lec-U-Lar. Copper Kidd and the Space Racer. Melodia, Hardware, Flashback, Condor. Poker Face and Yes-Man. Darkbird. MonStar’s transformation chamber throne, which is a playset in everything but name.
That is a company working through the roster of a 65 episode 1986 syndicated cartoon and going after the deep cuts. Vac metal variants, toy colour variants, cartoon accurate variants. Nobody spends that kind of tooling money on a line they are about to drop.
Which brings us to the awkward part, and the opportunity.
The ground floor is on clearance

If you have watched this line get deeper and deeper and thought “I would need to start with the leader and I have missed that boat”, you have not. The boat is right there, at a third of the price, and it is the exact two figures every later wave gets displayed next to.
This is clearance stock, not a promo window. There is no restock behind it.
What you actually get for $38.50
ULTIMATES! is Super7’s premium tier, not their budget one. Seven inch scale, deep articulation, cartoon accurate paint, and a box that is mostly accessories. At $16.50, Steelheart is landing under the price of a mass retail five inch figure while shipping more plastic than most of them do in an entire wave.
Quicksilver brings an alternate head, a pair of winged arms, six alternate hands, four laser effect pieces, the Tally-Hawk wrist remote, and two Tally-Hawks, one perched and one in flight.
