The short version

ThunderCats came to NYCC 2026 through its guests and makers. Peter Newman, the voice of Tygra, was billed for a signing at booth 2044 on Thursday, October 8 and a panel at 8 PM in Room 406.2. Mezco was at booth 1253, Super7 founder Brian Flynn was on stage Thursday, October 8 at 3 PM ET, and Declan Shalvey was billed with Rapha Lobosco for a Mumm-Ra: The Ever-Living signing at table J03 on Friday, October 9. We found no named ThunderCats exclusive on any official list, and we cannot read those pages.

How NYCC 2026 turned out for ThunderCats

The rest of this page is the live record as we wrote it during the show. This part is the after-action read.

  • ThunderCats had no panel, screening or named exclusive of its own at NYCC 2026 in anything we found in maker posts, trade coverage or fan reports. We cannot read the official NYCC pages, so that is a statement about what we found.
  • Mezco's ThunderCats display at booth 1253 repeated the seven 5 Points pieces from San Diego. Mezco's own ThunderCats news that week was a Panthro One:12 reveal card on October 11, tied to RumbleCon rather than NYCC.
  • The Super7 session on Thursday was not billed as ThunderCats, and we found no ThunderCats announcement from it. Super7 DELUXE Wave 5 surfaced that weekend through photos from a UK retailer, which we ran on October 10, ahead of any Super7 announcement.
  • Peter Newman's Thursday panel was never named in anything we found.
  • The Mumm-Ra signing time stayed unresolved: 3:00 to 4:00 PM on the graphic against 4 pm in Declan Shalvey's newsletter.

How our guesses turned out

  • Our guess Super7 may announce further ThunderCats ULTIMATES and DELUXE waves on Thursday. What happened We found no such announcement from the session. DELUXE Wave 5 did surface that weekend, through retailer photos rather than from Super7.
  • Our guess Super7 may put the Astral Moat Monster on sale around the session. What happened It did not, as far as we can see. Our Astral Moat Monster page still shows no pre-order live on October 14.

Mezco has not announced a ThunderCats item for the show. On the evening of October 8, Toy News International posted photos of the booth showing a ThunderCats display of the seven pieces Mezco first showed at San Diego Comic-Con in July: Lion-O, Tygra, Cheetara, Panthro, Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living, decayed Mumm-Ra and Ma-Mutt. That is a repeat reveal, not a new one.

What we know and what we do not

Confirmed, our guess, and still open

Confirmed

  • Peter Newman, the voice of Tygra, signs at booth 2044 on Thursday, October 8 from 3 to 7 PM and appears at a panel at 8 PM in Room 406.2, per our September 28 Instagram announcement.
  • Mezco is at booth 1253, with the Comic Foot Soldiers and a Gray Hulk as in-person exclusives.
  • Mezco has a ThunderCats display at booth 1253, photographed by Toy News International on October 8: the same seven characters as the 5 Points set shown at San Diego Comic-Con in July. It is a repeat of that reveal.
  • Super7 founder Brian Flynn and Esoteric of CZARFACE hold a Walmart Collector Con session on Thursday, October 8 at 3 PM ET.
  • Declan Shalvey is at table J03, and he and Rapha Lobosco sign Mumm-Ra: The Ever-Living on Friday, October 9.

Our conjecture

These are our guesses. Nobody has announced them.

  • Super7 may announce further ThunderCats ULTIMATES and DELUXE waves on Thursday. Super7 uses convention stages to reveal product and ThunderCats is one of its biggest lines.
  • Super7 may put the Astral Moat Monster on sale around the session. The 14-inch ULTIMATES figure was shown at San Diego Comic-Con in July and promised for this fall.

Not known yet

  • Whether Mezco has anything new in ThunderCats to show at booth 1253. The display photographed on October 8 matches the seven pieces from San Diego, and we have not found a Mezco post about it.
  • What Flynn and Esoteric will cover. Super7 has said toys, collecting and all things Super7, and nothing more.
  • What the 8 PM Room 406.2 panel is called and who else is on it. The announcement says only that Newman is performing at a panel.
  • Whether the Mumm-Ra signing is 3:00 to 4:00 PM or at 4 pm. The graphic and the newsletter disagree.
  • Whether any ThunderCats panel, screening or exclusive is on the official NYCC pages. Those pages load with scripts our tools cannot read, so we have not been able to read them.
